nanoGauge Class 923 Doctor Yellow

This is the second nanoGauge I have built (earlier post) and it is among my favourite ones! The Class 923 Doctor Yellow high-speed test trains are used on the Japanese Shinkansen train routes. The trains have special equipment on board to monitor the condition of the track and overhead wire, including special instrumented bogies and observation blisters.

nanoGauge Shinkansen Series 0

I finally managed to built my first nanoGauge set (earlier post)!  Of course, I started with my favourite Shinknasen Series 0 and although the new brick types open new possibilities in terms of design and creativity, some of them (e.g. the flat ones) are similar to Lego bricks. Overall, I have to admit thatthe specific set looks really nice!!!

First nanoGauge sets arrived!

A big box arrived a couple of days ago including my first nanoGauge sets! Shinkansen 0 was left out, but it is definately coming with the next order as it is my favourite one. More motor and bogie units will be needed, after finding first a suitable space to build the track.

Oh, I got also some special sets - Whal Shark, Sea Otter and King Penguin - which are sold exclusively inside the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan!!!

New nanoblock nanoGauge model railroad!

It seems that Kawada is about to introduce a new collection called nanoGauge. As you can see from the photos, the new collection is going to include train models, as well as functional railroad track!!! I already have twenty nanoblock models and I plan to buy over twenty five more during the next couple of months... and now this? I am definitely getting every single nanoGauge model as soon as they hit the market!
